Currently, three types of Black Box Spyder Style Ukuleles are available. Each is designed around the DRC range of cones and components and all are fitted with a jack plug socket, 2 strap buttons and the unique Black Box side sound hole. Each instrument features the Black Box Spyder with carbon fibre bridge, stainless steel hand-rest and string termination, a rosewood fingerboard, geared tuners, Aquila strings with glass beads, top and back binding and bone nut. All screws are stainless-steel flanged button Alan-heads.

The Black Box Sound Hole

This is fitted as standard to all our instruments. The personal sound hole is situated on the side of the instrument facing you, so the sound is directed up to you. It is there for your personal listening, useful when you are playing with others as it ensures you can hear what you are playing. Please specify if you are left or right handed when ordering an instrument as this will affect which side we put it on.

Strap buttons and jack plug sockets

We fit our instruments with 2 strap buttons and a jack plug socket as standard. These are there for your convenience. However, although we provide a jack plug socket, we do not recommend or endorse the use of transducers as they cannot reproduce the true sound of the cone.
